80776 arrived on the SVRSevern Valley Railway in November 1986 from Bristol. It was heavily rebuilt with components from Open Seconds and Corridor Seconds to achieve a conversion to a passenger carrying vehicle for up to 16 wheelchair users. Seating is provided for 15 accompanying passengers, and a disabled access WC is included. 80776 won the Association of Railway Preservation Societies' “Coach of the Year” award upon completion in 1995.
80776 is normally used in the BRBritish Rail or British Railways Crimson & Cream running set, and until 2016 was owned by the SVR Wolverhampton Branch. However in that year it was sold to the SVR Charitable Trust for safekeeping and further conversion to a "Wheelchair Diner" providing much needed access to the SVRSevern Valley Railway's Dining Services.
