GWR 9627 is a Collett bow-ended Restaurant Third Open (RTO) carriage. It was built in June 1932 as lot number 1469 to Diagram H40, and was used in a Dining Car twin-set in combination with a Kitchen/First Saloon. The 1932 build represented the final design of the bow-ended era.

In service 9627 was regularly paired with Kitchen Diner First 9615 which is also preserved on the SVR. After service, 9627 was used as an office at Roath Dock, Cardiff. It arrived on the SVR in September 1972 having been acquired by Mr Mike Wilkinson. From the mid-1970s it was used as part of the SVR's GWR main-line rake of carriages as well as on the SVR itself. Ownership was later assumed by SVR(H).

As of 2017, 9627 is regularly used as part of the Severn Valley Limited dining set. It is finished in GWR 1934-42 livery featuring the ‘shirt-button’ roundel.
