Service and preservation
Brake Corridor Second 35315 was built at Wolverton to Diagram 181 (AB201), Lot 30699. It entered service in the London Midland region in 1962, transferring to the Scottish region from October 1985.[1] Following conversion to a BRUTE courier van, it re-entered service in October 1987 numbered 80222. It left BR service in May 1994.[2]
80222 is owned by the Class 50 Alliance. It carries the later 80222 number and TOPS code NNX, signifying a Non-passenger carrying Courier Van with dual Vacuum / Air braking.
