  • 1852 The Severn Valley Railway Company board agreed that the line should go to Shrewsbury rather than Coalbrookdale, and instructed Robert Nicholson to resume planning in this form.[1]
  • 1977 Filming of Candleshoe with David Niven took place at Waterworks Crossing.[2]
  • 1991 The SVRSevern Valley Railway's first 2-Car DMU set was formally commissioned. After a return trip from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth, the MD of Regional Railways presented the key to officers of the DMU Group.[3]
