- 1852 The Severn Valley Railway Company board agreed that the line should go to Shrewsbury rather than Coalbrookdale, and instructed Robert Nicholson to resume planning in this form.[1]
- 1932 Ironbridge A power station was opened
- 1977 Filming of Candleshoe with David Niven took place at Waterworks Crossing.[2]
- 1985 The Erlestoke Manor Fund organised the first Kidderminster Rail/Road Rally, with a selection of visiting vintage cars and buses.[3]
- 1991 The SVR's first 2-Car DMU set was formally commissioned. After a return trip from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth, the MD of Regional Railways presented the key to officers of the DMU Group[4].
