On October 15 in SVR history.
- 1967: The SVR Society held a 2-day 'Steam Gala' at Bridgnorth on 14-15 October with GWR 3205 and LMS 46443 giving alternate 'members' rides to Hampton Loade.[1]
- 1970: The SVR met with BR and provisionally agreed to buy the southern section of the line between Alveley Sidings and Foley Park for £74,000, subject to contract and BR Board approval.[2]
- 1977 the SVR provided a rake of GWR carriages for use on a mainline excursion, 'The Severn Valley Limited', the itinerary including Plymouth and Liskeard.[3][4]
- 1982 Episode 2 of L For Lester was first broadcast, utilising D1013 Western Ranger and recently acquired ex-BR Mark 1 coaches in appropriate BR blue and grey livery.[5][6][7]
- 1994 The 8F Society presented a cheque for funds raised to the Turntable Fund, while 8F 48773 was turned.[8]
- 2000 D821 Greyhound as D845 Sprightly and D1013 Western Ranger appeared at Worcester Open Day[9].
