- 1990 The LNER (SVR) Coach Fund held a sponsored walk from Bridgnorth to Ironbridge, following the former track bed for most of the route.[2]
- 2010 BR Class 73 Bo-Bo E6006 (73006) left to return to the DeanWilliam Dean, Chief Locomotive Engineer of the Great Western Railway 1877-1902 Forest Railway following hire.[3]
- 2017 Alan Davies became a SVR(H) director for the third time, as one of the Guarantee Company representatives[4].
