  • 1973 GWR Pannier 7714 arrived on the SVRSevern Valley Railway from Penallta Colliery.[1]
  • 1985 Bridgnorth Bypass opened. For many years its proposed construction had threatened to sever Bridgnorth from the rest of the SVRSevern Valley Railway, leading to the opening of Bridgnorth Bypass Bridge in 1983.[2]
  • 1991 The SVRSevern Valley Railway's first DMU, a 2-Car set comprising M51941 and M52064, arrived on the SVRSevern Valley Railway for a 2-year trial period.[3]
