On March 30 in SVR history.
- 1974: Two mobile cranes visited Bridgnorth. 46443 was re-wheeled after axle box repairs, and the boiler from 80079 was lifted.[1]
- 1977: Season 3 episode 3 'Law of the Jungle' of the TV Survivors series was first broadcast.
- 1980: The Western Diesel Weekend on 29-30 March was restricted to running between Bridgnorth and Arley while repairs to a slip at Folly Point were completed.[2]
- 1990 Class 108 DMU vehicles M51941 and M52064 arrived on the SVR from Doncaster via Tyseley, initially on a two year loan.
- 1990 The Bridgnorth Footbridge Trust launched an appeal to raise £275,000 to build a new footbridge outside Bridgnorth Station, replacing the old bridge which had been demolished in 1976. The Trust's chairman was Sir William McAlpine, then owner of Flying Scotsman. The new footbridge was completed in 1994.[3]
- 2017 BR 993876 'Shark' Ballast Plough Brake arrived at Kidderminster by road from East Usk yard.
- 2021: GWR Large Prairie 4150 was shunted out of Bewdley Yard after more than 43 years there, in preparation for a move to Bridgnorth for restoration to be completed[4].
- 2021: Thieves stole 23 metal signs from Arley on 29 and 30 March.
