Update description of proposed conversion work
Ownership passed to the [[Great Western (SVR) Assoc.]] in 2014 in a deal that saw the 2857 Society’s spares transferred to [[GWR 143 Tool & Packing Van]], allowing the [[The LNER Carriage Group|LNER Carriage Group]], who are based in [[Bewdley Down Yard]] to use 5043 as their workshop and stores.<ref>2857 Society newsletter issue 82</ref>
The GW(SVR)A eventually intended to convert this vehicle to a fully wheelchair accessible carriage with saloon accommodation at one end and Buffet Car, with an open style for overflow dining if neededCounter at the other. The kitchen Entry will not be there and instead it will hold wheelchairsvia central double doors with an adjacent disabled WC. The work described above will be carried out by [[The LNER (SVR) Coach Fund]] and this coach will become their next project on completion of the restoration of [[GWR 17410 'Toad' 20T Goods Brake Van]].
