Founder member in 1977 of LNERLondon & North Eastern Railway (SVRSevern Valley Railway) Coach Fund and its successor the LNERLondon & North Eastern Railway Carriage Group. Assisted with the acquisition and restoration of several of the LNERLondon & North Eastern Railway teak set of carriages. Now assists the SVRSevern Valley Railway workshop staff with the ongoing overhaul of the LNERLondon & North Eastern Railway Set N and also assists the restoration of GWRGreat Western Railway ToadGWR telegraphic code signifying a goods brake van, which became the standard design's nickname 17410.
