- 1920 Rifle Range Halt closed.[1]
- 1969: The Worcester Locomotive Society's GWR Pannier 5786 (ex-London Transport L92) arrived at Bridgnorth by road.[2]
- 1980: A Western Diesel Weekend was held on 3-4 October, with both D1062 and D1013 in use in addition to the two regular steam services.
- 1987 D5410 (27059) attended Tyseley Open Day with D1015 Western Champion and D1062 Western Courier.[3]
- 1995 The SVR announced that its shares would not be listed on the newly created Alternative Investment Market (AIM). Among the reasons given were to discourage speculative trading.[4]
- 2018 The SVR held a Class 50 Golden Jubilee
- 2024: Friday of the Autumn Diesel Bash which included Class 25, 53 and 43 HST guests.
- 2025: Saturday of the 4-day Autumn Diesel Bash which took the theme "65 Years of Class 37", with 9 visiting 'Growlers' joining SVR-based 37263 for the event.
