  • 1979 Minister of Transport Norman FowlerHenry Fowler, Chief Mechanical Engineer (CME) of the Midland Railway 1909-1923, and of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway 1923-1933 paid the SVRSevern Valley Railway an official visit, honouring his pledge in Parliament to visit a private enterprise railway during the year.[1]
  • 1994 The Warwickshire Industrial Locomotive Trust became a charity.
  • 2000 The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association visited the SVRSevern Valley Railway. The party, including 23 dogs, made a return trip on the line.[2]
  • 2016 The Friends of Eardington Station reported that sufficient funds had been raised to purchase the required replacement GWRGreat Western Railway bricks to replace the missing part of Eardington platform.[3]
