- 1977 Silver Jubilee Week on the SVR was celebrated with trains named 'Silver Jubilee' and 'Elizabethan'.[1]
- 1981 Coincidentally, future SVR residents 08015, 08133 and BR Class 52 D1015 Western Champion all appeared at the Swindon Works’ Open Day.[2]
- 1992 The SVR's first 'Thomas the Tank Engine' event began, bringing nearly 17,000 visitors over the two days[3].
- 2026 The 82045 Steam Locomotive Trust AGM was followed by the 'AGM DMU Special' taking members and supporters from the AGM at Kidderminster to inspect the progress of New-build BR 3MT 82045 in Bridgnorth works.
