- 1977 Season 3 episode 3 'Law of the Jungle' of the TV Survivors series was first broadcast.
- 1990 Class 108 DMU vehicles M51941 and M52064 arrived on the SVRSevern Valley Railway from Doncaster via Tyseley, initially on a two year loan.
- 1990 The Bridgnorth Footbridge Trust launched an appeal to raise £275,000 to build a new footbridge outside Bridgnorth Station, replacing the old bridge which had been demolished in 1976.
