'''5786''' is a GWR Collett 5700 class 0-6-0PT No 5786, ex-London Transport L92, ‘pannier tank’ of which there are two examples resident on the SVR. A brief description of the 5700 Class is a former SVR included in [[GWR Pannier 5764]] (the other residentbeing [[GWR Pannier 7714 | 7714]]).
5786 , ex-London Transport L92, is a sister locomotive to former SVR-based [[GWR Pannier 5764 | 5764]] and [[GWR Pannier 7714|7714]]resident. 5786 It began life with the GWR and later BR(W), before (like 5764) being transferred to London Transport in 1958.
In 1969 the locomotive was purchased ==5786 in service=====GWR / BR===Built at Swindon in working order by the Worcester Locomotive Society and moved to the SVRJanuary 1930, where it was steamed 5786 entered service at Aberdare shed and restored to remained in South Wales throughout its GWR liveryand BR(W) life.
