Changes

5786 is a sister locomotive to SVR-based [[GWR Pannier 5764 | 5764]] and [[GWR Pannier 7714|7714]]. 5786 began life with the GWR and later BR(W), before (like 5764) being transferred to London Transport in 1958.

In 1969 the locomotive was purchased Built at Swindon in working order by the [[Worcester Locomotive Society]] and moved to the SVRJanuary 1930, where it was steamed 5786 entered service at Aberdare shed and restored to remained in South Wales throughout its GWR liveryand BR(W) life. In May 1970 1948 it travelled in steam moved to the Birmingham Railway Museum at Tyseley for a festival of transportCardiff Canton, and although it returned which was to the SVR, it never worked there againbe its last BR depot.<ref>BR database</ref>

When the Centre closedIt operated from from Lille Bridge and Neasden depots, 5786 found a new home at the shunting and working maintenance trains and goods traffic.<ref>South Devon Railway. It subsequently returned to the SVR, but a dispute between the owners and Railway meant it did not work further on the line. Shortly thereafter the Society moved their locomotives to the Bulmer's Railway Centre at Hereford. When the Centre closed closed in 1993, 5786 moved to the South Devon Railway. It moved to the Gwili Railway in 2020. 5786 has since returned to the SVR for two [[Steam Locomotives visiting the SVR for galas|Gala visits]], in spring 2010 (in BR livery) and spring 2015 (in London Transport livery as L92).
