Entirely speculation, the 1927 improvements referred to in the recent addition could have been connected with the opening that year of Stourport Power Station A--Patrick Hearn (talk) 15:42, 21 December 2022 (UTC)

Certainly possible, although the railway connection from the Severn Valley branch to the power station wasn't built until 1940. Another equally speculative possibility is work starting on extending the Burlish Branch sidings up to the Steatite Factory which opened in 1929. Marshall doesn't mention anything specific to 1927. --Robin (talk) 18:05, 21 December 2022 (UTC)

Article of the week (for the second time) edit. I've captioned one of the pictures "In the 1900s". Graham, via the Stourport Civic Society, dated it to 1910. John Marshall captioned the same photo as "about 1900". Probably nothing in the photo to be sure either way. --Robin (talk) 16:03, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
