Interesting to know where else around the country BRBritish Rail or British Railways procedures called for a goods train to be divided so a Signalman could get past it, and how often it was done in practice. Perhaps they should try it on the SVRSevern Valley Railway one day!
- Off the top of my head, I can't think of any other BRBritish Rail or British Railways instruction like this, but maybe they did exist. Still, it seems very considerate of them... There is one case where a similar-ish rule exists on the SVRSevern Valley Railway, where trains in the No. 1 Siding at Bewdley must divide to keep the barrow crossing clear, but that benefits quite a few more people than the signalman! --Danny252 (talk) 09:09, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
