track relaid in 2015-16
The [[Gradient profile]] shows the whole climb to be at 1 in 100 apart from a brief respite of 1 in 200 passing Eardington.
For much of 2015 the area near the top of the bank has been was subject to a speed restriction pending re-sleepering of that section of line. Around ½ mile of track was relaid with [[List of infrastructure#Track, which is scheduled for rails and sleepers | continuously welded rail (CWR)]] over the winter of 2015-16.
