Diesel Traction Group (DTG) was formed in 1977 from a group of six enthusiasts led by Chris Reid and Colin Massingham. As of 2015, the The Group owns/manages four locomotives:

*[[BR Class 35 D7029 | D7029]]: Class 35 ‘Hymek (based at SVR)
*D1015 Western Champion: BR Class 53 ‘Western’ (based at TyseleyBoden Rail)*
*D8568: BR Class 17 ‘Clayton Type 1’ (based at Chinnor & Princes Risborough)
