- 1978: Saturday of the 'Great Western Weekend' gala, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Kidderminster Loop Line.[1]
- 1979: Filming of 'God's Wonderful Railway' took place at Highley station featuring 4566. Bewdley stationmaster Malcolm Broadhurst appeared as an extra.[2]
- 1979: 2857 became the first Churchward 2-8-0 to be steamed in preservation.[2]
- 1990 As the "Heavy Freight Weekend" came to a close, a number of wagons were derailed on the trap points at the north end of Bridgnorth Station[3].
- 2022: Friday of a 4-day special event to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, featuring No 70 Elizabeth II and guest 2999 Lady of Legend.
