On January 6 in SVR history.
- 1961 Worcestershire County Council officers met to discuss their opposition to BR's proposed closure of the Bewdley to Woofferton line.[1]
- 1970 BR ended passenger services from Bewdley to Hartlebury and Kidderminster.[2]
- 1973 4930 Hagley Hall, 5164, 4141, 7819 Hinton Manor and the tender from Black Five 44888 arrived on the SVR from Barry. Tripped from Kidderminster to Bewdley in the same move were carriages 6045, 9615 and 26880.[3]
- 2024: Saturday of the SVR's first season-ending 2-day Winter Steam Gala, which saw a return to passenger services after a lengthy overhaul for LMS Stanier Mogul 13268 (temporarily running as LMS 2968 in unlined black).
