On April 15 in SVR history.

• 1856 Morton Peto addressed a public meeting at Bewdley to rally support for construction of the Severn Valley Railway.
• 1968: The 3-day Easter Steam Gala on 13-15 April featured No 3205. Large crowds resulted in long waiting times, hindered by the lack of a run round loop and sufficient coaches. It raised around £600. At this time galas operated with the tacit approval of BR.*1977 Hartlebury Junction signal box was taken out of use by BR.
• 1978: The Spring Steam Gala was held on the weekend of 15-16 April, including working to Foley Park. On the Saturday a naming ceremony was held for WD 193, which was given the name 'Shropshire'.
• 2004 813 commenced a summer's hire to the Dean Forest Railway, with 14 days on service trains.
• 2021: The Spring Steam Up on 15-18 April featured 2999 Lady of Legend.
• 2023: Saturday of the Spring Steam Gala which attracted 5,000 paying passengers over the three days. The guest locomotives were GWR 4079 Pendennis Castle, GWR Small Prairie 4555 and BR Standard 2MT 78018 Borough of Darlington.
