The Fasting Girl was a BBC 2 Wales TV drama broadcast in 1984<ref>[http://tvrdb.com/listings/?y=1984&m=02&d=18 TVRDB TV listing]</ref>. It was a dramatisation of newspaper reports from 1869 concerning a little Welsh girl who was claimed to have fasted, with no significant loss of health, for more than a year<ref>[http://explore.bfi.org.uk/4ce2b7160c712 BFI.org]</ref>.
==Filming on the SVR==[[National Railway Museum|NRM's]] LNWR Ramsbottom 0-4-0ST No 1439 was loaned to the SVR for filming which took place in May 1983 at Arley, renamed Pencader for the production<ref>SVR News 68</ref>.
