The Fasting Girl was a BBC 2 Wales TV drama broadcast in 1984.<ref>[http://tvrdb.com/listings/?y=1984&m=02&d=18 TVRDB TV listing]</ref>. It was a dramatisation of newspaper reports in ''The Times'' from 1869 concerning a little 13 year old Welsh girl , Sarah Jacobs, who was claimed to have fasted, with no significant loss of health, for more than a yeartwo years until her death<ref>[http://explore.bfi.org.uk/4ce2b7160c712 BFI.org]</ref>.
