Talk:Caledonian Railway Covered Goods Van 302080

Revision as of 09:34, 5 May 2024 by Robin (talk | contribs) (thoughts)

I've added a brief history from a model shop webpage, provenance unknown. 304543 had a broken wooden solebar on the SVR which indicates wooden underframes. 302080 was on the SVR 1967-2016 and the wagon survey describes it as unrestored. I idly wonder whether there might be more info on the diagram or either wagon in books or SVR News? (hint!) The Tierney webpage also points to an earlier model, which I haven't found.--Patrick Hearn (talk) 10:14, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

Unfortunately the only reference to either that I can find in SVR news was a brief mention when they left. The only wagon books I have are on GWR wagons. I'll keep an eye out for any sources in the second hand bookshops if I get a chance. --Robin (talk) 20:02, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
I found a source and I've added it to Bibliography, although it's a new book and £30 so decided not to buy it just for an article on two former residents. I did time for a quick peruse, and have added some information accordingly.--Robin (talk) 09:34, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
