Revision as of 17:44, 12 January 2021

A couple of notes on today's edit.

  • Prior to editing, the article stated "a second period of service commenced, this time ending on 24th August, 1984". I can't find a reference to that date in SVRSevern Valley Railway News, and the locomotive recorded a further 309 miles in 1985 according to subsequent mileage tables.
  • The article also stated "46521 spent the summer of 1993 on hire to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, as well as taking part in the London Underground ‘Steam on the Met’ festival the same year." Steam on the Met was in May 1993 and YouTube videos appear to show 46441 was there but not 46521, which I think would have been at the GWSRGloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (Commonly known as the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway) by then. 46521 did do the 'thank you 'special the year before which I have added.

Both statements appear in the current 46521 page on the GCRGreat Central Railway website but I think it is using the Wiki as the source.

SVRSevern Valley Railway News 124 stated "46521 and 80079; both are serviceable, but will be off on their double-headed trip on the main line in October". 80079 worked a solo Cambrian Coast Express on 5 October as photographed in SVRSevern Valley Railway News but I have not found any reference to 46521 taking part.
