It is a GWR design but was built The girders of the bridge were replaced by BR at Swindon in 1955, some 8 years after nationalisation. It arrived on the SVR in 1973 1975 as part of a programme of work to upgrade the line and has been at Hampton Loade ever since, where increase the permitted axle weight of locomotives using it now serves as the [[Hampton Loade Station Fund Shop]] .
