  • 1904 The Bridgnorth Jourrnal reported that a steam bus had run away backwards on Roughton Bank, resulting in injury to a passenger. Introduced by the GWRGreat Western Railway in November of that year, the buses were replaced by petrol-engined buses the following spring[1].
