• 1869 The GWRGreat Western Railway approved the construction of a cattle pen at Highley.
• 1975 A major repair to Oldbury Viaduct began.
• 2007 Santa's Grotto was based at Bewdley, the line north of there still being closed following the 2007 flood damage.
• 2010 The SVRSevern Valley Railway was presented with the National Railway Heritage Awards FirstGroup Craft Skills Award for work undertaken on installation of the wheeldrop facility at Bridgnorth.
