2015 marks the 50th anniversary of beginning of the Severn Valley Railway in preservation. A number of events are planned in celebration, including the following:

Gala visitors announced so far are WD Austerity 2-8-0 'Dub Dee' No 90733 from the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and former resident pannier tank 5786 currently liveried as L92 from the South Devon Railway. Open to all comers, a chance to visit areas of the railway not normally open to availabilitythe public.
