• 1983 30777 Sir Lamiel arrived for a month's visit, becoming the first Southern Railway locomotive on the SVR in preservation.
• 1989 The Earl of Lindsay's LNER K4 3342 The Great Marquess was re-dedicated at a ceremony at Kidderminster.

• 

  61994 The Great Marquess. The locomotive was numbered 3442 in LNER Green in 1989.

• 1997 The SVR was visited by the 'Ariel Group Express', Turbo 165 011.
• 2003 813 commenced seven weeks hire to the Dean Forest Railway.
