- 1983 30777 Sir Lamiel arrived for a month's visit, becoming the first Southern Railway locomotive on the SVR in preservation.[1]
- 1989 The Earl of Lindsay's LNER K4 3342 The Great Marquess was re-dedicated at a ceremony at Kidderminster.[2]
- 1997 The SVR was visited by the 'Ariel Group Express', Turbo 165 011.[3]
- 2003 813 commenced seven weeks hire to the Dean Forest Railway[4].
- 2021: The Spring Steam Up on 15-18 April featured 2999 Lady of Legend.
- 2024: Thursday of the Spring Steam Gala which featured guest locomotives Lambton Collieries No 29, 32636 Fenchurch [LBSCR 72] and GWR 1369.
- 2025: Friday of the Spring Steam Gala which featured guest locomotives GWR 6880 Betton Grange, LMS 45596 Bahamas and LMS 45699 Galatea. Services ran between Kidderminster and Hampton Loade due to the embankment collapse at Mor Brook earlier in the year.
