- 1980 The SVRSevern Valley Railway’s 3205, 43106, 45000, 600 Gordon, 80079, D1062 Western Courier and 3 coaches took part in the Rocket 150 celebrations at Rainhill.[3]
- 1993 Scenes for the BBC programe "Antiques Roadshow" were filmed on the SVRSevern Valley Railway.[4]
- 2017 The Charitable Trust 'Future Fund' appeal reached its target to meet the HLFHeritage Lottery Fund (National Lottery Heritage Fund from 2019) matched funding grant of £500,000.
