- 1956 The signal box, Down line and platform at Ironbridge were taken out of use by BR.[1]
- 1967 GWR 0-6-0PT 813 arrived on the SVR from Backworth Colliery in Northumberland.[2]
- 1990 Platform 2 at Kidderminster was brought into use, with 7819 Hinton Manor making the first operational entry.[3]
- 2000 A train hauled by 8F 48773 was in collision with a van on Northwood Crossing. The SVR was later absolved of any blame.[4]
- 2017 The GWR 813 Preservation Fund staged special full-line brake van rides behind GWR 0-6-0PT 813, the event marking the 50th anniversary of the locomotive's arrival on the SVR.
