Changes

After closure of the former Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway, 43106 was transferred to Woodford Halse on the former Great Central Railway for a period of six years, before spending the rest of her working life at ex-LMS sheds in the Midlands and North West. Her longest allocation during this time was two years eleven months at Heaton Mersey, from September 1963 to August 1966. Following A move to Carlisle Kingsmoor Depot followed. While there she made several trips into Scotland including the most northerly on 25 February 1967, a spell of just over a year at railtour from Carlisle to Beattock and back during which the 43106 became the last steam locomotive to use Beattock turntable.
