Although the main bridges and tunnels on the original Severn Valley Railway were laid out to take [[Double track | double track]], this bridge is only wide enough for single track. The bridge is sometimes referred to as Hammerite Bridge<ref>[https://www.flickr.com/photos/galahad/2449146131 Hammerite Bridge 26.4.08 on Flickr]</ref>, likely a reference to the popular brand of rust protecting paint. It is included on the [[Wyre Forest District Council Local Heritage List]] as item SVR043*.
