== D3586 in preservation ==
D3586 was the second Class 08 on the SVR<ref>SVR News 80</ref>, arriving ex Swindon on 27 March 1986<ref>SVR Stock Book Ninth Edition</ref>. Following restoration, it entered service as Bridgnorth pilot loco later that year. It quickly acquired the nickname "TNT", short for "Tranter's New Toy", referring to the late Ray Tranter<ref>SVR News 81</ref>.

In September 1993 the locomotive’s engine suffered a broken crankshaft. A replacement engine from a scrap class 08 was installed, and following an overhaul the locomotive returned to traffic the following year<ref>SVR News 113</ref>.
D3586 is owned by [[Severn Valley Railway (Holdings) PLC | SVR(H)]]. It is normally based at Bridgnorth and is currently in BR green livery.<ref>[http://www.svr.co.uk/MeetTheLoco.aspx?id=90 SVR "Meet The Loco" web page]</ref>
