9085 was built in 1951, one of a small batch of four sleeping cars built to this design for the London to Milford Haven route. All four carriages survived into preservation, with three of them originally finding a home on the SVR([[GWR 9084 First Sleeper | 9084]] is still on the SVR, 9082 has since moved to Crewe Heritage Centre<ref>[http://www.cs.vintagecarriagestrust.org/se/CarriageInfo.asp?Ref=245 9082 Location]</ref>). 9085 is normally parked at the end of Siding 2 at [[Arley]] station, where it is used for staff accommodation.
