After graduating in law at University College London, Peter he served his articles in the Black Country and qualified as a solicitor in 1979. He joined mfg Solicitors LLP (then <nowiki>Morton</nowiki> Fisher) in 1984 and is became an LLP Member (Partner) in the company commercial division of that firm.
