In February 2022 the SVR announced that later in the year Taw Valley would temporarily appear in a brand-new purple livery and carry a different name, to be selected by public vote, to commemorate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee<ref>[https://www.svr.co.uk/2022/02/10/a-purple-patch-for-the-severn-valley-railway/ SVR Website] (retrieved 18 February 2022)</ref>.
