Changes

Alun held the position of 'Assistant to the General Manager' (then [[Hugh Mossop]]) in 1973,<ref>SVR News 29 onwards</ref> before being re-designated Chief Engineer in mid-1974.<ref>SVR News 33, Boardroom Notes</ref> During his time as Chief Engineer he oversaw the restoration of many locomotives, most notably the [[National Railway Museum | NRM]]'s [[LMS Stanier Class 5 45000|Black 5 LMS 5000]] between 1977 and 1979<ref>SVR News 52</ref> which was subsequently referred to as his 'personal steed'.<ref>SVR News 62</ref>. As 'Nula Seer', Alun was responsible in 1985 for the [[Severn Valley Railway Timeline 1980-1989#1985|1985 April Fool's]] repaint into BR Black of [[GWR 3717 City of Truro]].
