Arrived 2 August 2018 as part of a relationship with the Class Forty Preservation Society that will see one of their locos with the SVR for one season at least. It covers for 37688 which is still not yet able to operate vacuum braked coaches. 40106 was to have stayed until approximately September 2018 at which point she was to be swapped with steam heat fitted 40135; 40106 now has working steam heat, and is staying longerexpected to stay until April 2019. 40135 is rostered from August 2019
