Bridgnorth Boiler Shop ground frame (erstwhile Down Yard Ground Frame) is located adjacent to Station Lane and is electrically released from [[Bridgnorth signal box]].<ref>[http://www.svrsig.org/svr/Frame9.htm SVR signals map]</ref> The electric lock on this ground frame had reached the end of its useful life and was replaced in February 1997 by an Annett's key release obtained from a key release instrument installed in a newly constructed location cupboard replacing the previous installation.<ref>[http://www.svrsig.org.uk/svr/Iss128.htm SVR News 128]</ref>
