Traditionally held each spring, this event began as an annual 'Members Day'. The first MembersDay advertised in SVR News ' & Shareholdersforthcoming events' Weekend was on 1 April 1995, featuring an annual event held increased train service with visits and displays behind the scenes for many years until 2015 which allowed all visitors, not just SVR members and .<ref>SVR News 113</ref>. In 2005 the invitation was extended to SVR shareholders, with a chance second day being added to see some areas of become the Members & Shareholders Weekend. ==Replacement by 'Open House Weekend'==During the railway that are not normally open to event the 'behind the public scenes' exhibits such as the [[Bridgnorth Loco Works]] were open to the general public as well as members and shareholders. In 2016 the event was renamed the '[[Open House Weekend]]' to reflect this, with additional attractions including model railways at [[Kidderminster Railway Museum]] and the [[Engine House]].
==Peep Behind the Scenes==
From 2010 a second event, [[Peep Behind the Scenes]], also allowed visitors a chance to see some areas of the railway that are not normally open to the public.
