463 bytes added, 16:25, 17 April 2018
current repair
In late 1986, 143 was selected for a full overhaul and moved to the Goods Shed at Bewdley from Highley where it had been in use for some time as a timber and coach seat store, despite the absence of its roof canvas and skylight glazing.<ref>SVR News 82</ref> This exposure to the weather required the replacement of the roof boards and skylights, around a quarter of the floorboards, all eight side doors and one end door. The roof was re-canvassed and the van repainted into GWR Lake livery and lettered as originally built in 1913, with the overhaul being completed by July 1987.<ref>SVR News 84,86</ref>
In 2014 [[The 2857 Society]] transferred their spares from [[GWR 5043 Full Third]] to 143. It is seen at The main photograph shows the van in [[Bewdley Down Yard]] in on 20 March 2015.
By September 2017 143 had been moved into the goods shed for roof repairs and a repaint.<ref>[http://www.svrwagons.uk/news.html SVR Wagons News]</ref> The repainting was in progress in April 2018 as seen in the Gallery below.
