9615 in preservation: repairs commenced
9615 was acquired by [[Severn Valley Railway (Holdings) PLC | SVR(H)]], arriving in January 1973 from Cardiff Canton diesel depot where it had been serving as an office. After a two year restoration, it was used from the mid-1970s as part of the SVR's [[The Severn Valley Railway on the main line#SVR Carriages used on the main line | GWR main line set]] as well as on the SVR itself. Further body work attention was carried out in 1980.<ref name = "SVR9" />
9615 was moved into Kidderminster Carriage Shed in early 2016 for assessment for its overhaul. In October 2017 it entered Bewdley paint shop for major repairs to begin.<ref>[http://forum.svra.org.uk/viewtopic.php?t=3461&start=45 SVROnline forum]</ref>
