On September 10 in SVR history.

  • 1951 BR reduced Linley station to a halt status and closed the station siding.[1]
  • 1960 Kidderminster Shed became BR(W) Shed 84G under Wolverhampton, its first move from Worcester Division.
  • 1977: Saturday of the Enthusiasts Weekend saw 10 SVR locos in steam including 7819 Hinton Manor and 6960 Raveningham Hall. The Saturday also saw the grand opening of the cast iron gentlemen's toilet on Bewdley's island platform, following its relocation from Melrose in Scotland. The ceremony was carried out by the Mayor of Bewdley, who congratulated the Railway on opening the town's first public urinal on that side of the river.[2]
  • 1978: Sunday of the Autumn Enthusiasts' Weekend, during which 70000 Britannia worked services between Bewdley and Foley Park.
  • 1985 2857 worked a a demonstration freight train to Newport and back as part of the GW 150 celebrations.[3] BR 953153 Goods Brake Van was still owned by BR when it arrived on the SVR, having been attached to the returning train.
  • 2017 The annual 'On the Buses' event at Bewdley featured a New Routemaster ("Boris Bus") as well as the normal vintage exhibits.
  • 2018 50044 Exeter returned to passenger duty after a six-year absence with overhauled engine and overhauled main, ETH and auxiliary generators[4].
