On October 17 in SVR history.
- 1962 Railway photographer R.J. Sellick filmed ex-LMS Ivatt 2MT 2-6-2T No 41202 working a southbound passenger service at Linley.
- 1971 After wheel turning at Tyseley, 1501 completed the journey to the SVR, hauled by rail to Bewdley[1].
- 2021 GWR 6045 Bow-end Composite was launched into traffic after a lengthy restoration. A special train ran using 1501 and the Great Western set, with special guest passengers involved in its return to traffic.[2]
